Cammy Kaplan
Cammy Kaplan was named Connecticut's Small Business Person of the Year for 2003 by the United State Small Business Administration. Cammy is cofounder and chief executive officer of PC Worldwide located in Manchester. PC Worldwide, originally Kaplan Computers, was created when Kaplan noticed a shift in the technology market place was developing. As corporations continued to upgrade the computers, they needed to find a solution for their outdated machines. Kaplan through PC Worldwide provide a solution to corporations for removing the electronic assets from their facilities, deleting the assets from the accounting process, and environmentally recycling the assets while delivering return on investment through retail sales. PC Worldwide was designed to provide customized solutions for solving business issues and to provide for a safer ecological disposal process. Kaplan started PC worldwide to fill a void in a market that called for an electronic equipment recycling company that would exceed EPA requirements with it solutions. She ensures no computer is land-filled, incinerated or disposed of in any way that would be harmful to our environment. Kaplan believes that everyone should take part in protecting our environment for future generations. Senator Lieberman is pleased to honor Cammy Kaplan as one of Connecticut’s Best.
